An exhibition in two parts - work from 2014-2016.
Meant to be a slow, mindful, interactive exhibition, the show is divided into two halves, each with an overlapping end.
Visitors enter from two ends of the gallery. From one direction, the work is filled with exploitation and fear, anger, frustration, and shame. From the other direction, visitors are welcomed and invited to participate, and to consider their place in community.
In both cases, the viewer comes to rest with a choice, and a place to ponder their decision.
Note: The collecting of the shoes used here was a related 7-month project, which ultimately put shoes on the feet of over 500 people in need.
